General Questions

Our 51,000 sq ft facility is at 100 Riley Road, Houston, TX 77047.

Since 1963. Apollo was founded by Bobby M. White and is still family-owned and operated, now in its third generation.

We're open Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, and on Saturday by appointment. We're closed on Sunday, Thanksgiving Thursday through Sunday, and the week of Christmas.

Yes. Please call ahead at 713-433-7272 so we can have the equipment ready for you.

We respond the same day, often within the hour.

We serve data centers and utilities, oil and gas drilling, rail, industrial facilities, mining, and marine customers.

Generator Sets, Generator Ends, and Engines

We carry new and used diesel generator sets from about 20 kW to 3,950 kW, including EMD 645 and 710 series, Caterpillar, Cummins, and Waukesha. Inventory changes often, so check our Generator Sets page or call for current availability.

We stock generator ends from 40 kW to 5,500 kW from Kato, Caterpillar, Marathon, Leroy Somer, Stamford, Newage, and more, in voltages from 208 V to 13,800 V.

Often, yes. Our warehouse is full of specialized and obsolete equipment, and finding hard-to-find generator ends is one of the things customers call us for most. Send us the specs and we'll check.

Send us the kW rating, RPM, voltage, frequency (50 or 60 Hz), SAE housing and flywheel size, and whether you need a single- or double-bearing unit. If you're replacing a generator behind a specific engine, such as a Caterpillar 3512 or 3516, tell us the engine model and we'll help match it.

Yes. We sell diesel engines without a generator, including EMD 8-, 12-, 16-, and 20-cylinder engines. Call for current availability.

Yes. Our inventory includes EMD 12-, 16-, and 20-cylinder 645 and 710 series generator sets from 1,000 kW to 3,950 kW at 900 RPM, as well as MP-36 and MP-45 sets.

Yes. Data centers are one of our fastest-growing markets. We supply prime and standby generator sets and generator ends for data center and utility power generation.

Some of our inventory is Tier-rated, including Tier 2 and Tier 4 units. Emissions ratings are listed on each product page when available, or call to confirm a specific unit.

New surplus equipment is brand new and has been stored in a warehouse. Used equipment has hours on it and is sold as used. Reconditioned equipment is used equipment that we've gone through and restored to like-new condition.

All of our major equipment is listed on our website. Some parts aren't, so if you don't see what you need, call us and we'll check our warehouse.

Rebuilds, Unitization, and Testing

Our in-house shop handles generator and motor rewinds, voltage reconfiguration, varnish dip and bake, precision undercutting, IRD dynamic balancing, and digital surge testing. We work on all major brands.

Yes. In many cases we can reconfigure the existing windings for a new voltage. If that isn't possible, we can rewind the generator to your required voltage and power output.

Most rebuilds, rewinds, and unitizations take two to three weeks. Rush service is available.

Unitization means pairing an engine with a generator and assembling them into a complete power package on a common skid. We unitize sets from our inventory or equipment you supply.

Yes. We load test generator sets in-house up to 3,500 kW, so you know the unit performs before it ships. Load testing for customer-owned sets is available on request.

Yes. We provide test reports and documentation with rebuilt and tested equipment.

We don't offer general field service. For equipment purchased from Apollo, we can provide on-site support when it's needed.
